Simple Sunday Afternoon

Our second Sunday in Utah, we went to church as usual, then drove over to Chris’ brother’s house to visit their family.  We had seen him when we visited his office at BYU, but we hadn’t seen his wife, or their kids yet.  Or their new house!  It is a great house on a cute cul-de-sac with lots of other young families.  Their kids are going to love growing up there, lots of friends close by.  And the basement is huge!  So they will have to have several more kids to outgrow the space. 🙂

The picture above is of the kids enjoying a snack of graham crackers and milk.  We were so busy eating a bunch of other junk, we had somehow never gotten around to the simple treats like this.  Thank you, Aunt Cristie for sharing your giant Sam’s Club box with my kids. 🙂

This was our first time meeting Abraham, or Abie Baby as he is known in some circles. He is a definite charmer and the kids all took turns playing with him.

The adults just sat around and chatted.  How boring!  🙂 We were able to chat for a couple of hours, and then I got a phone call from Tom.  He decided to come see us a second time before heading back to Tennessee the next day. Hurray!  So we said goodbye to Steven and Cristie, knowing we would have more chances to visit with them later, and drove back home, where Tom was waiting for us.

When it was really, really, really time for him to go, the kids all hugged him again. Thanks so much for flying all the way out to see us, Tom. It meant a lot to us.  We love you!
