The kids spent an entire Saturday outside playing with their sidewalk chalks and the neighbor kids. They drew an elaborate system of roads, and parking spaces and drove on them with their bikes.
There were even stop lights and traffic cops.
I was so happy to see them using their imagination and having such a great time. But it was very obvious that they all needed new bikes. Sophie looked like she was riding a clown bike, it was so small! The seats were all up as high as they could go, but it wasn’t enough. The bikes are all about 3 years old, and the kids have done a lot of growing since then. Plus, Alexandra is ready for a real bike, not her little practice one. Good thing we already budgeted for that….
