Brunch with the Lovely Ladies

The Friday morning before Valentine's day, I got to attend the second annual Valentine's Brunch, hosted by Jeana.  Our friend Julie S. had this tradition in her old neighborhood and she brought it with her to Switzerland. I think it is a great way to celebrate the love we as friends have for each other. Besides I was raised that Valentine's Day is definitely not just for romantic couples.  My dad always gave each of us kids a Valentine, every year.   It was a day to celebrate love in all its forms.  And don't we all need a day like that?

A plus to being included in this particular group of ladies, is that everyone is a really good cook.  I don't mean your basic every day meals, like I can pump out.  No, this is stuff that restaurants could be built on.  Tastes fantastic, and looks incredible.  Something I have always struggled with.  My stuff always tastes pretty good, but the presentation is something I really struggle with.  It is fun to learn from these "professionals".

Jeana had the table decorated really cute with a pink tablecloth and red glass hearts strewn down the middle. She even made "Mormosa's" which were drinks made with orange juice and alcohol free champagne.  So fun.  My only regret is that I came late and didn't get to enjoy everyone's company for longer.  Why is it that I always, always underestimate how long it will take to do things?  Although, in my defense, had I not been at the store with Sarah, I would have only been about 10 minutes late.  Which, for me, means right on time. :)  Still it was a very nice morning, and I hope the tradition continues for a long time.
