So, I actually have a couple entries that I need to post before I get to my birthday in chronological order. But I just had to skip ahead and quickly show off my birthday present from Chris. It just came in the mail today. I cried when I saw it, happy tears of course.
What is it, you ask? A bound book of all my blog posts since I started blogging over a year ago, including photos. This thing took hours for him to make, and he did it all in total secret. First, he had to find a publisher that would do it and mail it to Switzerland. Then, he had to learn the program this company used to make the books. Then he had to choose the fonts, choose where to put the photos, design the cover, and all without telling me what he was doing.
Typical conversation would go something like this:
me "Hey Chris, are we watching anything tonight?" (We download American tv shows and watch them at our leisure later.)
Chris "Um, nah, I am working tonight." (He has been working on a really cool website for a year now, so I think that is what he is doing.) But really, he was making this book! Oh, and when he left the fourth of July barbecue early? Yeah, it was so he could go home and work on my book. LOVE HIM! Thank you, sweetheart, you have outdone yourself once again!
