Lost tooth

Saturday morning, Chris and I took Alexandra and ran to the store for a few things, leaving Nick in charge.  While we were gone, something that we have been waiting for a while happened.  Sarah's loose tooth finally fell out.  It took a while because the tooth was loose from a fall, not from a new tooth growing in on top of it.  She slipped on the ice at school during recess and knocked her tooth.  Thank goodness it was only a baby tooth.

She was very excited about the prospect of money from the tooth fairy and was carrying her tooth around with her everywhere.  It fell out in her room, and then she decided to go play in my craft room.  I made the girls their own little craft corner and they are allowed to use some of my supplies.  She was getting out my Cuttlebug, which is kind of heavy, while trying to hold on to her tooth.  Somehow the tooth became lost.  She thought it fell into the machine, but when I got home and checked, there was nothing in there.  It was also not to be found on the floor or the table.  Which meant, instead of money, she would get a toy from the tooth fairy.  However, sometimes the tooth fairy has to make a special trip to the bring the toy, because they take up more room in her bag than coins do.  And since the next day was Sunday, and the tooth fairy doesn't work on Sunday, Sarah had to wait until today for her toy.  But it was totally worth waiting for.  A new Littlest Pet Shop animal in its own purse.

I wonder if the kids will start "losing" their teeth on purpose?
