Zoo Mueliberg

On Sunday afternoon, the kids entertained themselves by building a zoo.  They set it all up while I was gone borrowing an electric sander from a friend two towns over.  When I came back, Chris was just finishing up his visit to the zoo, and invited me to come see the very cute animals that lived there. I was greeted first, by the zookeeper at the entrance.

They all drew parts of the sign.  It's got pictures of the animals they are pretending to be on it.  This is now hanging on our front door.  I told them than when I was little my dad used to say, "Welcome to the Lasko Family Zoo!" a lot.  Now we have a Mueliberg Zoo of our very own.

Just inside the entrance, there was a gift shop, where all the toys were free!  Alexandra is perusing the shelves.

The animals could all live freely together in one gigantic enclosure, because none of them ate each other.  There was a snow bunny, a raccoon, and a tokee, which is a kind of gecko.  Guess who was that particular animal?  Here they are in their habitats.

I even got to feed some of them, including the zookeeper, a carrot.  At the very end, we decided that Baby was a little goat in the petting zoo since she was wearing all white.  It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
