A little girly pampering

The first week we were in Utah, Sophie, Alexandra and I went to the salon and got pedicures.  Sarah was invited as well, but didn’t want people messing with her feet.  Just so you don’t think I love her less, or something. 🙂  Anyway, we had a ton of fun.  Alexandra LOVED being pampered and since her feet were so little, the girl also did her lower legs, and hands and arms. heehee

My favorite part was the fancy cushions we got to sit on while our feet were soaking, and being worked on.  Sophie liked the crazy, bright colored foam flip flops they gave her to wear while her polish was drying.  I didn’t get pics of our feet directly after, but here is what remained of Alexandra’s polish a week later.  She is hard on her feet!  She loved the cute little stripes the girl made, though, and was very sad to see them go.  So, we went to a different place the next week.  This time Sarah came along.  The three older girls, that would include me, got our hair cut, and then me and the two younger girls got manicures.  Again, Sarah isn’t in to that kind of thing, but she hung out with us while we got it done.

Sophie liked this crackle nail polish so much, that we ended up buying some to bring home. The girls didn’t want their hair to be much different than how it already was, but they definitely needed a bit of trimming.  Since that was done so quickly, they also got their hair styled afterwards.  Sophie kept this braid in for several days.  She really liked it, and when I tried to recreate it, I just couldn’t get the braid tight enough.  I will definitely need to try and practice more.

It was a great way to keep the hair out of their faces, without needing to cut bangs.

And Alexandra loved her fancy new nails. It was especially fun because we went to the same beauty school where Chris and I always got our haircut when we were poor married students.  They did a great job, and you can’t beat the low price.  In fact, we may have gone back one more time before we left Provo. 🙂
