Elder Bond, James Bond

My kids always give the Elders silly nicknames, and this one was just too easy.  I friended him on Facebook after he got home, and when he saw that we were in Provo, he sent me a message.  He was going to be in Provo at the same time we were, could he come see us?  Yes!  I told him to come over for dinner, it would be just like old times. 🙂

Since I had been to the reunion all day, I called Chris from the freeway, and asked him to start the rice for me, since that would take the longest to cook.  He did, but poor guy couldn’t quite remember what I had told him and the rice ended up slightly crunchy.  But the food wasn’t the main thing, we were just happy to see Elder Bond again. Of course, now I was allowed to give him a welcome hug.  And he brought a lady friend with him. hee!  Her name is Rachel, and she also served in the Swiss mission, but only briefly.  She had health problems that required her to come home, and then she finished her mission stateside.

Just like at home, when the missionaries come over, the kids get very silly.  Even if we can call them Eric now. 🙂
