Wednesday night was our ward’s Relief Society meeting. It was all about blogging and ways to get started or improve it. They asked me to speak on writing, someone else spoke on how to take better photos, and a third person talked to us about how to use our photos to the best advantage. It was very informative, but also very fun. There was a pretty good turn out, especially compared with the last meeting, where I think 5 of us came? We went outside and practiced using our newly learned tips to take photos, then downloaded them all onto a laptop and had a photo contest. There were about four different prizes, and the Homemaking Counselor chose the winners. For some reason, the three shots I took of rear ends didn’t make it into the finals. 🙂
It did make me think of a few questions to ask those of you who most regularly read the blog. Or at least things to inform you of. One, do you usually read it on a regular home computer, or do you look at it from E-Reader or your phone? I think I know the answer to this one already, but want to get confirmation. Second, do you all know that if you click on any of the photos I have posted, they will enlarge for you so you can see the detail better?
If there is anything you would like to me to stop doing, do more of, or do completely different, please let me know. My technical skills are sadly lacking. Chris has made sure I have an easy program I can understand and follow, and handles any “behind-the-scenes” stuff that goes wrong or needs improving. For example, the changeable photo banner at the top is all his doing. But our main goal is to keep the grandmothers happy and make sure they get their grandkid fix.:)
I usually read blogs on a feed reader on my phone. I do know that I can click a photo to enlage it, but that doesnt help much on my little phone haha. I think your blog is great and you do a good job keeping it up and keeping us informed. 🙂
