It had been wiggling for days. He would play with it, fascinated, with his tongue. He went to bed a couple of nights very worried that it would fall out in his sleep and he would swallow it! Tuesday morning, while he was brushing his teeth after breakfast, it finally fell out all on its own. He ran into the kitchen to show me, so excited!
Everyone congratulated him, and told him to put it under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy. But Noah was a bit hesitant to do that. He wanted to keep his very first tooth.
So Nick explained that he wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy asking if he could keep his first tooth, and she let him, and still gave him money! So, Noah brought me a piece of paper, and I wrote down everything he told me to say. Then he signed it himself and placed it under his pillow, next to the tooth all wrapped up in a paper towel.
Here he is lying on his pillow, with the tooth underneath. And wouldn't you know it? The tooth fairy did leave the tooth for him, and also brought him the usual 5 Francs. He was so happy!
